Many of you know that I am an avid Chrome user and am continually blown away with all that is available to users through the Apps Store.  All of the options available to us can be confusing in Chrome.
In this post I will try to clarify to different between what's available in the browser, the Apps, and Extensions.

Chrome...the Browser
At the very basic level, Chrome can be used just as any other browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox).  You would be missing out on some of the greatest parts of using Chrome by doing this, but it can be done.
This image shows Chrome being used as a browser.  You enter the web address you would like to visit.  You can also use tabs to go back and forth between web sites and windows.

Chrome Apps...
Apps in Chrome act very much like they do on any mobile device.  Apps are programs that actually run from inside Chrome.  A good example of an App that many of us enjoy is Angry Birds.
You download an App from the Chrome Web Store.  All Apps are listed in new tabs in Chrome.

Watch this short screen cast to see how to download and install and App.

Extensions make Chrome fun!  This is where you begin to personalize your online experience.  Extensions make working online more efficient, interesting, and sometimes fun!
Extensions are downloaded from the Google Web Store, which can be found each time you open a new tab.  The following images show where you can find the Google Web Store as well as where you will see extensions that you have added.
